How to Donate
Donating to STAR 102.5's Combat Hunger is the easiest way to help the hungry in Central Iowa. Your donations make a difference, and you can contribute in a number of ways:
Look for your Combat Hunger bag in The Des Moines Register
Combat Hunger bags can be found in The Des Moines Register, Thursday, November 12. Take your bag to any of the twelve area Dahl's Foods locations and fill it with non-perishable food items. Then, just drop it in the Combat Hunger bin, located near the front of the store.
Visit any Dahl's Foods Location
Don't get the Des Moines Register? Don't worry! You can still stop by one of the Dahl's locations to donate. Either buy non-perisable food items or tear off a Combat Hunger coupon at the cash register. Two dollars will be scanned toward your total and donated to the Food Bank of Iowa.
Stop by the Combat Hunger Encampment
For two days, November 19 & 20, STAR 102.5 will broadcast live from the Combat Hunger encampment at 12th & Locust in Downtown Des Moines. Bring your family, class, or office to deliver your non-perishible food or cash donation. Volunteers will be on-hand, so you don't even have to get out of your car!
