Karess is a South Dakota native that landed in Des Moines roughly 8 years ago, to work at STAR 102.5. After living in Denver and St. Louis, Karess found the best of both worlds in Des Moines. A great combination of big city fun and small town community encouraged her to plant deeper roots in Des Moines.
She met her husband at Nitefall On the River several years ago, and now shares her home with their daughter, Rhiannon and dog, Gizmo. As you would expect, Gizmo rules the house.
Karess is a big fan of The Willis Broadway Series at the Civic Center of Des Moines and all concerts in the area. You will usually see her singing and dancing at most concerts in central Iowa. It can be a frightening sight, but she is harmless. She is also a diehard fan of the Downtown Farmers Market and any mall in the area. If there is an arts and crafts show in the area, well she frequents these as well.
When not shopping, she spends her spare time avoiding housework by reading a good book from the West Des Moines Public Library.
