The Mission of Combat Hunger

It is the mission of Combat Hunger to increase community awareness of Iowa's critical hunger problem, and through that awareness, activate and facilitate community-wide involvement in a massive food and fund drive in support of the Food Bank of Iowa. The objective of this drive is to provide enough food to feed hungry Iowans during the most severe weeks of winter.
All donations directly benefit Food Bank of Iowa, celebrating their 30th year of service to Iowa. In our twenty year history, STAR 102.5's Combat Hunger has raised over 1.5 million pounds of food. All of those donations stay right here in Iowa.
