Nitefall on the River with Star 102.5!

Join Star 102.5 and Karess Carter for this weekly chance to relax by the river and enjoy live music from the best national and regional acts.

Bring your lawn chairs and your coolers (no glass containers or alcohol please). Food vendors will be on hand, as will beverage providers for both adult and other drinks.

Where: TEMPORARY LOCATION CHANGE – Due to low level flooding at the amphitheatre the concert will be on the Walnut Street Bridge.  Rain Location: AK O’Conners on Court Avenue.  Listen to Star 102.5 for final location.

The Downtown Farmers' Market

The metro’s premier Saturday gathering!  The Downtown Farmers’ Market brings together all the best from Iowa vendors.

 

Fresh fruits and vegetables, local meats, home-baked pastries and breads are all staples. You’ll find fine work from artisans who bring their specialty cheeses and wines.  Plus, shop for gifts (or a little something for you) with hand-crafted apparel and jewelry.  Or maybe your yard needs a little something, everything from weather vanes to friendly gnomes are waiting to go home with you.

 

To top it off there’s entertainment and international food ready to snack on.  And the kids will never be bored because there is always a great activity for them.  Make it a morning at the Market!

Terrace Hill, 2300 Grand Ave. - Home of Iowa�s governor, built in 1869. Terrace Hill is the finest example of Second Empire architecture in the Midwest. Brenton Skating Plaza, 520 Robert D. Ray Dr Bringing a bit of magic to the downtown area, Brenton Skating Plaza is an open-air skating rink and so much more. Farm House Museum, Knoll Road, Iowa State University, Ames - Tours available through the National Historic Landmark home, the first building constructed on what is now the ISU campus. Reiman Gardens at Iowa State University - The largest public garden in the state. It is situated on a 14-acre site and features gardens, indoor conservatory, butterfly wing, and greenhouses. Iowa Gold Star Military Museum, 7700 N.W. Beaver Dr., Johnston - Featuring exhibits on Iowa military history from 1846 to the present.
