I'll give you the news, sporting events, TV shows, movies and music from a certain year in the 70s. If you can correctly guess which year all of them happened, you'll win!


I have lived in Des Moines my entire life! I went to Crossroads Elementary in West Des Moines, then Indian Hills, then Valley High School. My passion for radio started when I did a shift on Valley High School's radio station 88.7 KWDM. It's a great station - you should check it out. I started to work for STAR the summer of my senior year in high school. I attended Drake University for 3 and a half years (finished early :)). I am the youngest of 3 and the only girl. Two words that describe me: Daddy's girl.

What do you do when you're not working?
Not working...what? I'm always working! I'm kind of a home body, I enjoy listening to music, watching movies, going to concerts, dancing, and visiting all the new places in Des Moines. There really IS a lot to do here!

Where's your favorite place in Des Moines to hang out?
Wow...that's a tough one. I frequent the Tavern in Valley Junction - the pizza and garlic bread are so good! Gray's Lake is beautiful - I walk there at least once a week. Simon Estes Amphitheatre has some great shows, Java Joes downtown rocks, and I love looking at houses! Des Moines has some of the most beautiful houses - drive around and look at them sometime!

What do you like best about Des Moines?
The people. Seriously, you won't find kinder people anywhere. Plus the fact that it takes 10 minutes to get anywhere. You can do pretty much anything here...you just have to know where to look.

How do you relax?
One of two ways...bubble bath...or...good music and the highway.
